The Ecological Farming Association (EcoFarm) will host its 46th annual EcoFarm Conference from January 21–24, 2026, at the historic Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, California. This year's theme, "Seeds of Strength: Empowering Farmers for a Changing Climate," underscores EcoFarm's commitment to helping farmers and food system leaders adapt, connect, and thrive in the face of unprecedented challenges. For more than four decades, EcoFarm has convened farmers, ranchers, and food system advocates to share practical wisdom and build the movement toward a regenerative, just, and climate-resilient food future. The four-day conference brings together more than 1,500 participants for over 65 skill-building workshops, keynote presentations, farm tours, seed swaps, networking events, Spanish-language programming, and the popular EcoFarm Dance featuring live music from Sang Matiz. Leading up to the conference, several hands-on pre-conference events are scheduled, inviting attendees to delve deeper into topics such as permaculture, regenerative land management, organic seed production, and sustainable supply chains. Sessions will be led by experts from the Organic Seed Alliance, Rodale Institute, Paicines Ranch, and other leaders advancing ecological agriculture. The conference highlights include several inspiring keynote sessions, such as "Seeds: The Sacred Abundance Found in Small Places," led by artist and agricultural advocate Carlton Turner, which explores how communities—like seeds—flourish when nurtured with care. The closing keynote, "How Women Are Rebuilding Our Regenerative Supply Chains," brings together author Nancy Matsumoto and leaders Karen Washington, Olivia Watkins, Bu Nygrens, June Russell, and Mai Nguyen to spotlight women driving transparency and equity in the food system. Beyond the sessions, the EcoFarm Expo will showcase cutting-edge tools, products, and services supporting regenerative and organic practices across the food system. The conference also features fresh, locally sourced organic meals prepared by hundreds of farmers, ranchers, and food producers, served to all 1,500+ attendees over the four days. Active farmers and ranchers can apply for discounted registration, making the event more accessible to those working in the field.
