Join Lovewell Farms for an after-hours farm tour and an evening of cannabis agriculture, history, education, and community at Rhode Island’s only USDA-organic hemp farm. The event begins with a guided walking lecture through the cannabis farm, where guests will learn about hemp farming, regenerative agriculture, specialty crop production, organic aersol extraction, cannabis policy, and the realities of running a small independent farm in Rhode Island. After the field walk, guests will gather for local beer (21+), light fare, and a seated lecture exploring the history of cannabis cultivation in Rhode Island from colonial hemp and herbal medicine to prohibition, criminalization, and the modern hemp movement.
