CSIRO Marine National Facility 2027-28 Voyage Schedule Symposium - Aug 2026

📅 31 August 2026 – 1 September 2026 | 📍 CSIRO Hobart Auditorium

The CSIRO Marine National Facility invite you to attend the 2027-28 Voyage Schedule Symposium Town Hall, which will include an overview of the 2027-28 Voyage Schedule, key MNF updates, a series of short presentations from MNF teams outlining their roles and how they support research at sea, and conclude with a Q&A.

To support early engagement and effective planning, the Marine National Facility (MNF) will host a Voyage Schedule Symposium on 4 August 2026. The symposium will bring together Chief Scientists, Principal Investigators for the 2027-28 voyages, and key MNF staff to share information, address questions and support coordinated planning for successful voyage delivery. It will serve as the formal commencement of the voyage planning phase.

The symposium, hosted by Dr Ben Arthur as Master of Ceremonies, will be structured in two parts. You are invited to the morning session which will comprise an MNF Town Hall, open to the broader user community in person and online, commencing at 9:00am AEST and closing at 11:30am. You can hear about the voyages of the 2027-28 schedule, key updates from MNF and have each MNF team take you through what their role is on a voyage. The Town Hall will close with a Q&A session.

The afternoon session will be a closed workshop for Chief Scientists, Principal Investigators and key MNF staff, focusing on voyage-specific planning and coordination.
