Greenhouse Workshops for Home Gardeners - Oct 2026

On October 17, 2026, Dr. Singh will lead two greenhouse workshops at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Maine. The first session, Basics/Refresher of Greenhouse Technology, will introduce greenhouse structures and covering materials, heating, cooling, ventilation, automation, environmental controls, and practical, cost-effective approaches to common greenhouse challenges. The second session, Greenhouse Lighting, will focus specifically on the role of light in greenhouse crop production and practical approaches to managing and supplementing light. Together, the two workshops are designed for home gardeners, aspiring growers, educators, and others interested in using greenhouse technology to extend Maine’s growing season and improve plant production.
