The International PermaYouth Convergence (IPYC–2025) was held over six days in October 2025 in the village of Fatuquero, Ermera, Timor-Leste. This inaugural event celebrated permaculture, youth leadership, arts, culture, and music, bringing together youth aged 17 to 35 and community leaders from six continents. The convergence focused on sharing permaculture knowledge and practice to build a global PermaYouth network aimed at future environmental stewardship and leadership. The theme, 'Planting Water, Growing Communities,' reflected ongoing impactful work in Timor-Leste related to watershed management, ecosystem restoration, and community collaboration. The event combined daytime practical permaculture activities with nighttime cultural exchanges, fostering friendships and knowledge sharing. Supported by the President of Timor-Leste, the convergence aimed to expand the movement nationally and internationally, with ongoing support from the PermaYouth Association to strengthen global youth networks.
