Maintaining momentum for farm productivity gains: a multi-level perspective
Presenter: Dr. Rick Llewellyn, Agriculture and Food, CSIRO
Overview: Dr. Rick Llewellyn is a Senior Principal Research Scientist with CSIRO Agriculture & Food based at the Waite Campus in South Australia. His research has bridged farming systems research and the adoption of innovations. This includes leading a range of projects aimed at sustainable crop and land management practice change including weed and resistance management, as well as the ongoing development of the widely used ADOPT tool. He was recently awarded the GRDC Seed of Light Award for his contributions to the grains industry and currently co-leads RiskWi$e, a national risk management initiative aimed at farm production decision making.
In his presentation Rick will look at trends in farm productivity and practice in the face of climate change and applies a multi-level perspective to the role of farming system innovation in an increasingly risky production environment.
