The NSW Branch of the Anthroposophical Society in Australia
invites you to
A Michael Festival 2026 of Research
25th-27th September 2026
Led by Dr Fiona Campbell, Jan Baker-Finch and Brian Keats, the participant gathering will engage with contemporary and eternal Michael questions.
Over the weekend, we will work with, live with and reflect upon the two key questions:
Who is Michael?
How can we work together as a Michael community
Other themes include:
The Michaelic community and Michael as esoteric leader of a cosmopolitan movement.
Aspects of Michael’s rulership as time spirit
Nicanor Perlas’s book Humanity’s Last Stand
The gathering will work with questions generated by the presentations and discussions from each session. Working in this way, those involved will actively shape the festival together.

Social eurythmy
Questions living in participants will be worked with through social eurythmy, guided by eurythmist Jan Baker-Finch, to enable experiences through which we can gain a sense of how we ourselves can step up/be present/ready for such questions. Potentially the content would be repeated and extended each time – so that more is possible. A less-is-more approach’ (Jan Baker-Finch).
What is AI in spiritual terms?
In a year of seemingly non-stop articles and reports on artificial intelligence (AI), the Michael Festival will endeavour to shift focus to the spiritual plane, shining some light on the Michaelic alternative of Cosmic Intelligence, Michael’s priceless gift to humanity and the resource we have to guide us through such a maelstrom.
Drawing on her doctoral research on cognitive processing, Dr Fiona Campbell will provide some insights into the nature of AI is, how it affects us, and how the way we think may be as much of a hindrance to Michaelic thinking as AI. Fiona will then work with the gathering on Rudolf Steiner’s Michaelic community blackboard drawing.
