Soil Science with Ruben Parrilla - Sep 2026

📅 5 September 2026 | 📍 Urban Farm, 78 Miller St., Chelsea, 02150, United States
Soil Science allows us to understand the foundation of plant life and the health of our urban ecosystems. In this workshop, we will explore the composition of soil — minerals, organic matter, water, and air and the three fundamental pillars of soil health: physical (structure and texture), chemical (nutrients and pH), and biological, including bacteria, fungi, nematodes, earthworms, and other organisms that keep the soil alive and fertile. You will learn how to evaluate and improve each pillar to achieve stronger plants, productive and sustainable soils, and a conscious connection with the earth that sustains us.
Refreshments and interpretation will be provided.
